Yoga for Schools
Yoga in Schools
At Double Up Education, we know how important it is to support pupils’ emotional and physical wellbeing throughout the school day. That’s why we offer tailored, in-person yoga sessions in schools – helping children and young people feel calmer, more focused, and ready to learn. Our sessions are fully adaptable for all ages and abilities, and can be delivered as part of PE, PSHE, enrichment activities, or after-school clubs.
Benefits
- Improved focus and attention
- Better posture and body awareness
- Better sleep and calmer transitions

What Our Yoga Sessions Include
We bring a calm, friendly approach that gives pupils tools they can carry into the classroom and beyond. Whether we’re working with a Reception class or a Sixth Form tutor group, our sessions are always welcoming, inclusive and age-appropriate.
Each session includes:
- Gentle movement to support strength, balance and coordination
- Breathing techniques to manage anxiety and support emotional regulation
- Mindful exercises to improve focus and attention
- Guided relaxation to encourage rest and reflection
- Adaptations for SEND, sensory needs or reduced mobility
We can deliver sessions in classrooms, halls, nurture rooms or outside (weather permitting).
Staff Wellbeing Options
We also recognise that staff wellbeing is just as important. Schools that book pupil yoga sessions are welcome to add a staff yoga session – either after school or during a CPD or wellbeing day.
Staff sessions are designed to:
- Release tension from desk-based or active teaching
- Provide breathing and mindfulness tools to ease stress
- Offer a calm space to pause and reset at the end of the day
- Support emotional wellbeing, posture and mental clarity
- No experience is needed, and everything is delivered in a friendly, relaxed style.
